LUNFARDO IS THE SLANG USED IN ARGENTINA, ESPECIFICALLY IN THE RIO DE LA PLATA (PLATE RIVER) AREA. SOME OF THE TERMS ARE USED IN DAY-TO-DAY CONVERSATIONS, OTHERS BELONG TO THE WORLD OF TANGO.
HERE’S A FEW LINKS YOU’LL FIND USEFUL… THE BEST THING, HOWEVER, IS TO GO OUT THERE, AND LEARN THE SLANG STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH, BY MAKING PORTEÑO FRIENDS!

This is really funny!! I am Argentine but, even so, I need a lunfardo dictionary to find out the meaning of everyday expressions that are not so widely known!!
Online dictionaries are really a must for every reader, and it is especially so for translators.
I have just written an article about the need for online dictionaries
Best regards,
Amelia
